Alysha Bennett, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Insightful and accepting, Dr. Alysha Bennett recognizes that her role as a pediatrician is about more than just diagnosis and treatment. It’s also about preventative medicine, offering reassurance and guidance, and building relationships with families from birth through adolescence. Dedicated to meeting families where they are and attending to their needs, she aims to instill confidence and trust, so that patients and their families feel cared for and listened to at every appointment.

Dr. Bennett started her career as a medical assistant with a degree from Pioneer Pacific College. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Oregon. She holds a medical degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland and completed her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Outdoors Enthusiast

Having grown up in Hawaii and spent her college years in Oregon, Alysha enjoys being on the water, from swimming to boating. She likes biking the many trails around the area and hiking Spencer Butte and Mt. Pisgah with her family.

Book Lover

When she manages to get some time to herself, Alysha heads for the pages of a book. Historical fiction is her favorite, and she’s fascinated by stories involving other cultures. After reading several books that were set in South Africa, she and her husband visited the country in 2010, traveling around Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

Dedicated to family, Alysha is married and a focused mother and stepmother. Raising children has helped her become a more well-rounded pediatrician, allowing her to better recognize the highs and lows of parenting and walk moms and dads though challenges, while celebrating the milestones.

Fun Facts

Alysha’s favorite food is sushi, she loves cooking Thai curry, and she far prefers ice cream over cake or cupcakes. She believes that every morning should be greeted with a smile and a vanilla latte.
